If a host can offer guests at least a legal minimum insurance through their own commercial or rental policy, the host can refuse insurance for the services and provide you directly, as a customer, with their own policy. We call these hosts as commercial hosts. You can check directly in the list of vehicles if the vehicle is offered by a commercial host. Dispute resolution prior to arbitration. In the event of a dispute or claim between us, you and Turo agree to inform the other party of the nature of the dispute or claim prior to the commencement of arbitration proceedings, and the parties will first attempt to negotiate an informal solution. Please provide your name, phone number, email address and mailing address and briefly describe both the nature of your argument and the relief you would like from Turo. If the parties are unable to resolve the claims described in the communication within 30 days of the notice being sent, the party wishing arbitration agrees to notify the other party by e-mail prior to the commencement of the arbitration. To initiate arbitration proceedings, a remedy must be filed with either FairClaims or the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), as set forth below, in accordance with the FairClaims Rules or the Aaa Consumer Arbitration Rules.
An arbitration form is available on the De FairClaims website or on the AAA website. (AAA provides a request for arbitration form.) Any offer of transaction that you or Turo have made is not communicated to the arbitrator. If you choose to purchase your own commercial rental insurance in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada, or if no protection or insurance is offered in your area through the Services, you are solely responsible, as a host or authorized representative acting on behalf of the host, for providing commercial rental insurance for any reservation of your vehicles through Turo. You must not bear less than the civil and/or physical car insurance at least in force for your vehicle, your customer and its authorized drivers. If you are interested in refusing a protection plan or if no offer is offered in your area, represent and warrant that you are a licensed commercial rental company or that you have the right to act and retain vehicles on Turo on behalf of a commercial rental company associated with the vehicle list, or (2) you are a person or business, or have the right to act and engage on behalf of a business that can offer customers commercial rental insurance. They are covered by £20 million in liability insurance and every traveller is subject to prior screening. Or bring your own commercial rental insurance and take a bigger slice of the pie. After an incident, you may not continue to use the vehicle unless you have the express permission of Turo staff. Failure to report an incident in a timely manner or to cooperate with an investigation may reduce or invalidate any protection plan received through the Services. . .
